The Lemon Tree is an iconic restaurant on Ocean Drive in Vero Beach.
On a trip to Indiana for Thanksgiving, I discovered my hometown also has a Lemon Tree.
But it’s not a restaurant … it’s a store that sells what I call nostalgia-type items. (When I was growing up, a clothing store occupied that space on Main Street.)
In Vero Beach, 14th Avenue is considered to be “Main Street.” There are a lot of similarities between my hometown’s Main Street and 14th Avenue. Perhaps the biggest difference is, the old-time theater there is still operational.
