My wife and I had lunch last week at Wawa. It was our first visit to the “restaurant that sells gas” (as opposed to a gas station that sells food”).
While my Cuban sandwich was definitely “above average” and she gave a thumbs-up to the “holiday blend” coffee, neither of us thought Wawa lived up to expectations.
That’s because the expectations were unrealistically high. (Wawa has Kelly Tyko, the so-called “Bargainista” for Treasure Coast Newspapers, to thank for that.)
I’m sure we’ll eat at Wawa again, but there won’t be any urgency to return.
