You just never know where life will lead.
Blink once, and it’s 1985. I’m being hired as a sports writer at a small daily newspaper in Vincennes, Indiana.
Blink again, and it’s 2014. I’m publishing a small newsletter (with my column as the main content) in Vero Beach, Florida.
How did that happen? It’s something I never could have predicted, that’s for sure.
I’m just going with the flow.
The experience gained at each stop in my nearly 30-year newspaper career led me to Lemmon Lines. I really believe that.
It just feels like the right thing to do at this time in my life.
As I like to tell people, I feel like a singer who has left a popular band for a solo career. I’m hoping I’m like I’m like Steve Perry (a success after Journey) and not David Lee Roth (a flop after Van Halen).
