Bestselling author James Patterson is a big fan of independent bookstores.
In December, he selected 87 bookstore employees across the country to receive a holiday bonus. He gave away a total of $250,000.
Debbie Sentance, who has worked at the Vero Beach Book Center for 23 years, was one of the recipients of Patterson’s bonus.
She was the only person from Florida selected.
