My mother died in 1998. Now, all of her siblings are dead too.
It’s a very strange feeling.
Louise Hoffa (pictured here with my brother, Doug, and his dog, Scooter) died Thursday in Indianapolis. She was 90 years old.
She was the second-youngest of five children born to Frank and Amelia Schnarr.
Aunt Louise had such a great outlook on life. She was appreciative of every day she spent on this planet.
She suffered a stroke in 1996 and had been wheelchair-bound ever since. She never lost her sense of humor.
She was a big sports fan. She loved the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers, and watched their games on TV.
She loved Derek Hough on “Dancing With The Stars.”
A trip to Indiana always included a visit with her and a trip to Gray Brothers cafeteria. I’m going to miss those visits.
Rest in peace, Aunt Louise.
