Another packinghouse closes its doors May 29, 2018 Quality Fruit Packers is the third U.S. 1 packinghouse in the past three years to close its doors. It was in operation for 47 years. Last year, Greene River Packing (at U.S. 1 and 69th Street) closed. Two years ago, Oslo Citrus Growers Association (U.S. 1 between Oslo Road and 4th Street) called it quits after 97 years. Indian River County history is slowly changing before our eyes.
