Diana Walker, the branch manager of CenterState Bank, is the subject of this week’s “Meet me at Table 51” feature.
In talking with Diana about her career, I realized we weren’t as “enlightened” as I thought we were back in the 1970s.
She was trying to climb the ladder with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in West Virginia, and she had to endure what she described as a “very hostile” work environment.
“Somebody told me there that I was taking a good man’s job,” she said.
No one would ever say something that today … right?
