Trip of a lifetime October 31, 2017 On Saturday morning, three guys from Vero Beach — (from left) Curtis Carpenter, Stephen Byrd and Chris Rahal — flew to Houston for Game 4 of the World Series. And, rather than stay overnight in a hotel, they flew back to Florida early Sunday morning. In this week’s issue, I wrote about a pact Carpenter and Byrd made more than a decade ago to attend a World Series game if/when the Dodgers made it back to the Fall Classic. Rahal decided to join in the fun.
